In discussing the difference between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty, I heard a speaker illustrate it very clearly with just one question:
Would you rather your spouse be Loyal or Satisfied?
Clearly, this smacks of short-term versus long-term objectives. Take some time today to decide if your initiatives are producing customer satisfaction or customer loyalty.
